Edition Science and Society

Edition Science and Society was launched in 2001, after the status of the Institute was changed from university to public research institution in 1993 under the name of the Institute for Social Research in Zagreb and new releases have been published in the new series.

This edition replaced the earlier series Edicije IDIS-a, but with continuous publishing activity and the editorial board. At the time of launching of the edition the editor-in-chief was Mladen Labus, from 2003 till 2009 Jasenka Kodrnja, from 2009 till 2015 Dinka Marinović Jerolimov, from 2015 till 2019 Mirjana Adamović, and since 2019 Jelena Zlatar Gamberožić.

The edition publishes results of scientific researches that stem from regular contracted projects, as well as books that problematize, synthesize or deepen the themes connected to scientific research of the Institute and which are not related to contracted projects. Authors can be the ISRZ employees and the external associates.
