New Public Culture and Spaces of Sociability – Thematic number of the journal “Sociology and Space“

It is our great honour and privilege to inform you that in the preparation of the most recent number of the journal “Sociology and Space“ we collaborated with Associate Professor Željka Tonković, PhD (Department of Sociology of the University of Zadar), who had the role of guest editor of the thematic number dedicated to the exploration of new public culture and spaces of sociability.

The thematic number consists of a section of three scientific papers created on the basis of the research conducted within the project “New Public Culture and Spaces of Socialization“, coordinated by the Klubtura Association of Associations. One of the project's aims was to produce scientific knowledge on the importance of local infrastructure for cultural and social activities, i.e. for the establishment of local cultural centres, as prof. Tonković has stated in the Foreword.

The project was co-financed by the European Social Fund.
