Pupils of the Railway Technical School Moravice visited the Institute

Pupils of the Railway Technical School Moravice, who selected the subject 'School and Community', visited the Institute on 6 June 2023. They were accompanied by their teachers Tanja Vrbanac, Nataša Volf Pleše and Elena Popović, along with the principal Borivoj Dokmanović. The topic they are exploring within the 'School and Community' subject is the improvement of the quality of life of youth in Gorski Kotar. It is this topic that they could hear more about from Lana Peternel, PhD, leader of the ISRZ bilateral Slovenian-Croatian CSF-SRA project Isolated People and Communities in Slovenia and Croatia – ISOLATION and Ana Perinić Lewis, PhD (Institute for Migration and Ethnic Studies), project collaborator. The research is financed by the Slovenian Research Agency and the Croatian Science Fund.

Despite the serious topics that we discussed, pupils were very much interested in the world surrounding them, and participated actively in the discussion.
