Lana Peternel presented findings of the CSF-SRA project “Isolated People and Communities in Slovenia and Croatia – ISOLATION“ at Columbia University in New York

As part of the Slovenian-Croatian bilateral project of the Slovenian Research Agency (SRA) and the Croatian Science Foundation (CSF) 'Isolated People and Communities in Slovenia and Croatia – ISOLATION' (IPS 2022-02-3741), Lana Peternel and Lucija Mihaljević participated in the 27th Annual World Convention of the Association for the Study of Nationalities. The conference was held at Columbia University in New York, from 18 till 20 May 2023.
Results of anthropological research of isolated places in Croatia were presented in the paper "Neglected Faiths: Case Study of the Isolated Orthodox Churches in Croatia" by Lana Peternel and Filip Škiljan, and in the work titled "Isolation and Disappearance of Identities: Facing the Consequences of the Earthquake in the Border Area of Croatia (Banovina/Bania)" by Lucija Mihaljević and Dan Podjed.

A total of 164 panel discussions were held at the conference, with participation of 615 researchers from 41 country.
