The Green and Fun Cities of the Future symposium was held in the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts on 17 May 2022.
The aim of the organizers was to bring closer to students of various disciplines the problems that the human population will be facing until the year 2050, when nearly 70% of the population will live in urban areas.
To envision the design of future cities, the hosts of the symposium Dan Podjed (ZRC SAZU), Associate Professor of Anthropology at the University of Ljubljana's Faculty of Arts, and Lana Peternel (IDIZ), Lecturer of Digital Anthropology at the Zagreb University of Applied Sciences, gathered students from Sweden, Belgium, Austria, Slovenia and Croatia. The students of Architecture, Anthropology, IT and Design presented their ideas and solutions, and shared experiences from various research projects on sustainable mobility, energy efficiency, intergenerational solidarity and social inclusion.
The card game Active8 Planet, developed within the project of the same title, was also presented to the students at the symposium.
