Ivan Tranfić, PhD held an internal seminar for the ISRZ employees on 19 February 2025. He presented the results of his doctoral thesis “For Family, God and Country: Anti-gender Movements in Southeast Europe“ on the role of Christian communities and the radical right in the mobilization of anti-gender movements.

The presentation was focused on semi-structured interviews carried out with 22 representatives of anti-gender civil society organizations and parties in Croatia. Ivan presented their values, political agency strategies and relations with actors in Croatia and abroad, which he set in the broader context of the strengthening of the radical right, and threats to gender and LGBTIQ+ equality and democracy.
