Dražen Cepić, PhD presented the COST Action titled “RethinkBlue - Rethinking the Blue Economy: Socio-Ecological Impacts and Opportunities“ as part of the Institute's internal seminars. Dražen Cepić is also the Action's Chair.
The main aim and objective of the RethinkBlue COST Action CA22122 is to assess the impact and the opportunities arising from the Blue Economy paradigm. This will create new insights on how to enhance the economic, social and environmental sustainability of the Blue Economy. Various aspects of Blue Economy are observed and analyzed within the Action: maritime occupations, food security and sustainable blue consumption, sustainability of port cities and coastal communities, and the like. Along with Croatian researchers, the project includes researchers and experts from Norway, Sweden, Portugal, Poland, Spain, Slovenia and many other European countries.
Among the Institute’s researchers, the collaborator of the RethinkBlue Action is Branko Ančić, PhD. More about the Action can be found here.
