Assistant Anamaria Klasić participated in the Vienna International Summer School on New Social Housing 2024

In the period between 16 and 20 September 2024, Assistant Anamaria Klasić participated in the “Vienna International Summer School on New Social Housing 2024“, which was organized by TU Wien, the University of Vienna and the University of Applied Arts Vienna.

During the 7th edition of this international summer school, scientists, experts, professionals, practitioners and activists explored the history of housing experiments in the light of a current need for new solutions in the domain of social housing. The topic of this year's school is closely related to the broader social visions that influence urbanism and housing, with a focus on architectural, social, political and ecological aspects of these experiements, and on their adaptations and transformations over time.

Within the summer school, Anamaria presented the paper titled “The past, present and future of socialist large housing estates in Zagreb compared to post-socialist estates“, which was produced as part of the CSF bilateral project “Quality of living in the Housing Estates of the socialist and post-socialist era: a comparative analysis between Slovenia and Croatia“ (HESC, PI: Anđelina Svirčić Gotovac,
